There is a plant from the deep south which is growing everythwere...the Kudzu...a Chinese plant. Since Kutzu grows so very fast (it is claimed it grows a foot a day), it is literally covering the deep south, and is now, into Texas. This plant is almost impossible to kill. Kutzu was imported to the U.S. to solve soil erosion issues in the deep south in the 1930's, although it was known to the U.S. prior to that time. In quickly doing some on-line research, I found that Harvard Medical School is conducting research on the Kutzu! So, someone has already thought of whether there is a use for it! But, best of all, there are many medical benefits to using Kutzu which comes to us from old Chinese medicine, and I wish for all McAfees to know about it! The Chinese use it for such things as headaches, hypertension, diabetes, type II, cancer treatment, and now, one of the big areas of interest is alcoholism with the studies at Harvard! One can make tea from the blossoms of the Kutzu! (I wonder if one could find dried blossoms?) There are recipes on-line for Kutzu...one recipe is even for deep fried leaves! How southern...to deep fry the leaves! But most of all, the root compounds of Kutzu have isoflavones which can enhance the neurotransmitters of the brain! And...who could not use enhanced neurotransmitters? How exciting.....for such should make for BETTER thinking at any age! (I am seeking out dried blossoms for Kutzu tea, today, on line!) Also, there seems to be hundreds of other uses for Kutzu, including cattle feed! If there are McAfee individuals who are involved in scientific research of plants and who know of the values of southern Kutzu, please do let us hear from you! Tell us about your family line! Concern for McAfees' and their health is ever present on my mind....I wish all McAfees would live forever! Maybe, just maybe, Kutzu will be a friend to each of us! I am giving a link to a site which I have visited re Kudzu and can successfully get to link to work through Genforum.com. There is so much other reading available on Kudzu which you can search out by simply clearing out your very top window on the screen of your computer. Next, type in inquires as you can think of them such as Kudzu plants, Kudzu medicine, etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kudzu Notify Administrator about this message?
