Larry,

You will have to start with the value of the jury pay in 1788 and calculate it foward; not an easy task, but it can be done. From your comments....you are wishing to make it a straightfoward calculation into today's money; it is not that simple...if one is desiring to be exact. (Inflation/deflation?)

This will require some research on your part...I recall researching and doing such calculations re some civil war money/investments; that is how I learned that it is not a straightline calculating effort. And, you are needing to do it not for 130 years ago but for over 200 years...Again, you cannot take a current sum and solve the problem. It will not work....

Research within the financial realm as to how to convert sums into today's money....it is on the net someplace....
