Not my line, but data contributed from "The Wallace Collection" by Ruth Petracek, vol. one, privately published 1979. Ms. Petracek transended in January, 2003. CELIA ANN WALLACE (1850-1916) married WILLIAM HARRIS McADOO Samuel Wallace and his wife, Polly Ann Gibbs were the parents of Celia Ann who was born on September 25, 1850 in Anderson County, Tennessee. The grandparents of Celia were James Wallace and his first wife, Eliza Adkins; William Howard Givvs and his wife, Nancy Taylor. The Wallaces, Givvs, McAdoos, Taylors and Adkins were early settlers in Anderson County. On June 7th, 1868 Celia married William Harris McAdoo. William Harris McAdoo had been born on July 25, 1846. The children of Celia Ann and her husband William were: (Surname McAdoo) Mary Elizabeth b. May 15, 1869, m. John W. Davis Minnie b. Nov. 1, 1871, m. Emery E. Davis Roscoe b. Dec.11, 1877, m. Della Ayres Celia Ann Wallace McAdoo died November 25, 1916 and her husband, William Harris McAdoo died November 15, 1918. AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is not a misprint. Celia and William did die on the same day. However, my records say that they died in different years, but the book, "Nicholas Gibbs" notes that they died the same year! [Kate's note, apparently, when Mrs. Petracek published her book she misprinted the date for William's death as Nov. 15th, instead of Nov. 25th which, by her note she MEANT to print as "not being a misprint"-] RELATED BIOGRAPHIES IN THIS BOOK: James Wallace; Samuel (p. Gibbs). PROVEN WALLACE PROGENITOR IN AMERICA: Peter Wallace Jr. of Rockbridge County Virginia. Hope this helps someone, this is not by direct line. ~K Notify Administrator about this message?
