I have two William McAdoos in Calgary, a father and son. They seem to be cousins of ours, with a common ancestor in the 1800's in Ireland.
Our family stopped near Kingston, Ontario, for a few years, then moved on west to Maryfield, Saskatchewan. There are still McAdoos there.
If you think either of these Williams may be yours, let me know, I have more information (although I don't have it proven -- that genealogy was done up by my mother's cousins.)
The father was William David McAdoo, a barber in Calgary, who was born in 1913.
Does this help?
