sons of Nathaniel E. McAdams born 1853 TX

I'm searching for the sons of Nathaniel E. McAdams born around 1853 TX, and thier decendants to confirm my liniage.

Census shows Nathaniel E. McAdams having three sons, my gggrandfather is the William J McAdams born 1874-75 that married Margaret Ione Tilley and moved to Chicago Il.

William & Margaret had three children, Virginia, William and Goerge Conrad.

Only George Conrad lived to produce offspring.

I've been told "family folk lore" that William J Mcadams was of indian decent and when Ms Tilley married him she was disowned by her family hence the move to Cihgaco. He was at one time a barber and Margaret was a milliner (hat maker). They divorced. He died in Chicago in 1943.

What I've got;

Name: William J. McAdams
Home in 1880: Precint 4, Hamilton, Texas
Age: 5
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1875
Birthplace: Texas
Relation to Head of Household: Son
Father's Name: Nathaniel E.
Father's birthplace: Texas
Mother's birthplace: Texas
Neighbors: View others on page
Marital Status: Single
Race: White
Gender: Male
Household Members: Name Age
Nathaniel E. McAdams 27
William J. McAdams 5
John H. McAdams 3
Jefferson McAdams 10M

I'm hoping that decendants of John H or Jefferson can confirm or disprove the posability of indian decent, seeing as there was no name for the spouse listed I thought Nathaniel's wife may have been indian. There is an application to the 5 civalized tribes for indian regocnation for a R.B.Mcadams on microfilm m1650, listed #277, Cherokee.

Thanks for any help yall can give :) Julie
