Major McCreery's mother is stated to be a direct descendant of John Loudon McAdam and he seems to have the middle name to prove it :)
It seems more likely that he is a descendant of JLM's sons Sir James Nichol(l) or John Loudon Jr as we are fairly familiar with the male line descendants of William except perhaps for those of his Son Christopher.
Any information on Emilia or on any descendants of Sir James or John Loudon Jr would be appreciated.
