Music historian looking for information on Palmer B. McAbee. He was born on 28 April 1894, probably in Cherokee County, AL, the eldest son of William and Fannie. In the 1900 and 1910 censuses he was enumerated in Cherokee County. From 1917 he was resident in Cedartown, Polk County, GA; by 1930, he had moved to Walker County, GA, with his wife Anna. He died 15 October 1970 in Centre, Cherokee County, AL. By profession he was a house carpenter, but he was also a musician, who made recordings on the harmonica.
