I am seeking information about my paternal grandfather, John Wesley McAbee. He was born in Scotland County, NC in 1894 and was the son of Hugh Basil McAbee and Leah Hoffner McAbee. He was married to Mae Belch and had two sons, Vincent and Edward. He left Laurinburg, NC in the late 1920's and relocated in Long Island, NY where he married a Helen and had a daughter in 1932 named Joan. This is the first solid information I have been able to find. If anyone knows anything else about this line of the McAbee's, I would love to find it out.
