Maysville Colorado

Greetings, To whom it may concern.
There are lots of Mays's who immigrated to Colorado.
My Greatgrandfather William Gay Mays of Cedar county Mo was given a horse by my great great grandfather Benjamin Mays from White County Tn in his will.
William g Mays used the horse as an outrider on a wagon train on the Oregon trail. William G Mays also worked in the mines in Leadville Colorado for a spell. Does any tracer here know who filed the mining claim for surface mining at the camp called Maysville Colorado?
I believe this was panning for gold in the stream there.
There was an adjacent camp called "crazy camp" but Maysville is the one that made the map in whats now chaffee county west of Salida Colorado
