I found this information in a family tree and I have been going through the 1830 & 1840 census of Williamson County, TN.I can't proof positive anything at this time except I have found a Thomas David Mays b. 1785.
Drury is in Murry Co. TN in 1830.Gardner Mays is in Gibson Co. TN.
I have been going through census looking for a female that would have attained that age of 108 and haven't located anything. At that age she could be living in the household of any greatgrandchildren, grandchildren or children.I have just started researching the Mays line.
The "David Mays" probate of wills listed in Williamson, TN
"Probate Genealogy of Williamson Co., TN 1833" list heirs who appear to be grandchildren with names of Sarah's children. It list grandchildren Ruben and Drury.
Drury, Gardner, Smith, David, Ruben are listed in a petition to divide slaves in Williamson Co., TN, Martha, Mrs. Obediah Fitzerald; Sarah, Mrs Rawley Madden; Polly, Mrs. George Ingram.
None of this places Sarah Latham Mays in Williamson Co., TN.
I am trying to establish Mincey and Sealy Mays Bolling lines as they are directly linked in my line.At this point I don't have proof positive about them other than family lore.I did find marriage record on line for Mincey Bolling and John Mobbs marriage in Patrick Co., Va. Gabriel Bolling signed her surety.Makes me wonder if her father was dead by that time.He had to be a relative because of the age difference being close. From what I have gathered, Gabriel was a son of James Bolling/Bowling as was Marksus Marvel. The two sign surety for several Bolling marriages in Patrick County, VA.I would appreciate any information you have on this family.
I Googled Sarah Mays, Williamson, TN to get the information on the Probate.I haven't found a will.
