David had a son named Henry Walter born in 1856 and married Nicey Burleson. Best we can tell David also had a son named James H. that was born about 1881.

Also are listed Jeremiah M. age 50, his wife Sarah C. age 44, children Roy age 15, William age 12, Cornelius age 9, Drazi (?) age (?).These families lived very close to one another in this census.
The family stories that she has heard is that the Mays came from Tn, they worked on the Railroad and they settled in Marion County. There is also a Family Cemetery in Marion County where numerous members of the Mays family are buried. It is at the top of a mountain close to where they settled and at the end of the road you have to walk the rest of the way to get to it. As we know of no one has been buried there in years.
I have a thought that Joel, Jeremiah and David were brothers as all list there father as being born in Tn. However, Aaron list his father as being born in Ky.
If you can help us with this pls contact me [email protected] snail mail either of us at,
