My Mays family line is from Amherst/Nelson County Virginia. I know they were in Stafford County for awhile and possibly Henry. I haven't come across a lot of twins in that line, but one genetic thing that does show up very frequently is Mitral Valve Prolapse (heart murmur). Sometimes it's minor (functional heart murmur) and causes no problems, sometimes it's more serious and requires intervention. I've traced this through four generations of my Mays family and circumstantial evidence indicates it probably goes back at least six generations.
