I live in Cheshire and as you say there dont seem to be any Christchurch in Cheshire. Could in be a particular church in a town/village. I know in Macclefield there is a Christchurch.
To get back to the Mayoh line. I have a William Mayoh, farmer in Turton. His son was Samurl Mayoh born/bapt 1834 Turton, married Eccles 1859 to Margaret Lawton. He was orig a colliary clerk then he, and then his widow was a coal dealer at Irlam o'th Heights. Their son was Walter Mayoh b 1860 Barton upon Irwell.
Has anybody got a match. I can't seem to find this family anywhere.
