Lisa,

If he is out of Henry Burke Mayo, then he is The grandson of Jacob Mayo and Susanna Isbell. Married was born 6/26/1791 in Northham, Goochland, Va. He migrated to Floyd Co. Ky. in the eastern part near the town of Prestonsburg Ky. with four siblings. He married Peggy Mcquire there who was a very prominent family. He later mopved to Platt Mo. and was a judge there. You may refer to my book, orfor more detail on the Floyd/Johnson County, Ky Mayos, "John C. C. Mayo, Cumberland Capitalist" by Caloline Clay Turner. Library of Congress number 83-61350 International Book number 0-9333-21-5 (hb).
John CC Mayo was one of the richist and one of the most enfluential men in America in his time. He also established the coal industry in Eastern Ky.
His Italian marble mansion is still there and is noe a nursing school. Records of the Mayos are also in the Franklin Co. library and Meusim. Henry B Mayo was a first cousin to my James Glenn Mayo.
Also, his civil war records should indicate his parents and place of enduction and release. His unit is probably a Floye co. unit.
Hope this helps.
