Sorry, the earlier message was unintentionally aborted. As I was saying, The Valentine Williamson that Lisa gives cannot be my person of the same name because 1) mine was born in 1823, not 1805 2) he married Lamira Mabley, not Elizabeth Sutton and 3) he died in Clinton County, Indiana in 1884, not in Missouri, and is found in Indiana censuses every year until death.

I suspect my Mystery Mayo had a connection to the John Mayo (wife Judith Corn) who settled in Perry and DuBois Counties in Southern Indiana, but have never found it.
