This is what I have on John Mayo and Judith Corn. I believe him to be the brother of James Mayo (who married Jane Garrett):

Descendants of John Mayo

1-John Mayo, son of Williamson Mayo and Hannah Phillips, was born in 1785 in Patrick County Virginia(1) and died in 1829 in Leopold, Perry County, Indiana(2) at age 44.
* Location: John Mayo migrated, by 1820, to Clark Township, Perry County, Indiana.
* Land Transaction: 1817, Leopold Township, Perry County, Indiana. This is the first record of John Mayo in Indiana.
* He has conflicting birth information of Abt 1772 and Goochland County, Virginia. This date and place are given on the web page of Ken Storm, Mayo descendant.
* Location: There is a Patoka Township in both Dubois County and Gibson County. Both have been quoted in various records of this family. The Dubois County is undoubtedly the proper one, since John had owned land in Perry County, which is contiguous to Dubois.

John married Judith Corn on 16 Feb 1809 in Henrico County, Virginia. Judith was born in 1790 in Patrick County Virginia and died on 29 Mar 1863 in Patoka, Dubois, Indiana at age 73.
They had seven children: Nancy, Mary (Polly), George R., James Washington, John Adam, Elizabeth, and Martha A.
* Location: 1830-1840, Dubois County, Indiana. Judith moved with her sons, after her husband's death

2-Nancy Mayo.(3)

2-Mary (Polly) Mayo(4) was born in 1809 in Patrick County Virginia.

2-George R. Mayo was born in 1810 in Patrick County Virginia.

2-James Washington Mayo(4) was born on 19 Sep 1814 in Perry Co.,(4) died on 12 Nov 1879 in Dubois Co., IN(4) at age 65, and was buried near Hillsdale.

Burial Notes: According to his daughter's obituary, she visited the vicinity of her father's grave when she went to Hilldale, Indiana.
* Location: Lawrence Co., OH. (5)

James married someone. They had two children: Marshall and Sarah Ann.

2-John Adam Mayo(4) was born on 15 Jan 1820 in Patoka Township, Dubois County, Indiana.(4)

2-Elizabeth Mayo(4) was born in 1824 in IN.(4)
* She appeared on the census in 1850 in Bainbridge Township, Dubois County, Indiana.

Elizabeth married Cornelius Hourst on 20 Sep 1849 in Dubois County, Indiana. Cornelius was born in Germany. (Note: Sarah Mayo, of my Mystery Indiana siblings, married a Samuel Hurst.)

2-Martha A Mayo(4) was born about 1829 in IN.(4)
