thanks for replying. I have seen this list of the first 5 generations before, but most genealogists do not believe them to be accurate. Especially there is a problem # 5. James Mayo (1650 in Isle, Virgina-1670 in Middlesex, VA) he married Mary Valentine (1652-1670 both in Isle,VA)
with the birthdates of these too. There are several different dates given for birth and some of them make this pair too young to be Valentines parents - possible sibling or cousin. He was also b. in 1670 and you have both parents dying then.
If you have some sources for this data I would love to see it.

Here is the information that I have on this family line. Note it is Martha Williamson, not Mary. Have you seen the 1963 Virginia Genealogist article on the Family of James Mayo (son of Valentine)? I have this article from the April-June 1963 issue, volume 7:
