Hello,
Thanks for responding. I'm not sure that the Mayos you mentioned are the correct ones. My husband's great-grandmother Eliza Morrell was born December 1872 in Manchester (I have her birth record) and her husband John Mayo was about a year older than her, according to their marriage certificate.
One of these days we hope to make a trip down there to find the family farm. My husband went with his father years ago but I would like to see the place myself.
