I don't know if I can help you or not, but I live in Shasta county, CA. I am aware of the Overmyers. I think it was Charley Overmeyer, he was a blacksmith in the small town of Millville. He was a well known citizen at that time.

There was another Maynard in Shasta Co. early. That is George W Maynard and his wife Elizabeth Hayes. They came from Fern, Ark, that is in Franklin county, Ark. Their time frame was circa 1894. I had seen the early Maynard family, as early as 1850 from Little Rock, Ark and wondered? Does the name Lewis Shores mean anything in the family you are seaching? Apparently Lewis Shores married the sister of Elizabeth Hayes, her name was Syvania Hayes, all I know is they had a daughter named Charity Shores that married a man named ___ Hart out here. (CA)

There was a Nathaniel Maynard and somehow the Draper name comes in, not sure how, but would be willing to look into it. You can email me in private if you want.
