Perhaps someone can help.
I am the gg-grand daughter of Samuel S. Maynard(1845) Sam had a twin, Albert or Alfred. Parents are John and Nancy Maynard. The family was last together on the 1850 census.
Samuel S Maynard married my gg-grandmother Nancy Kilpatrick in 1903. He died in 1911. They are all together on the 1910 census in Lincoln Tn. They had 3 children together, Sam A, Mary and James W (Willie).
Do you have any info on the parents of Samuel S? My family seems to remember being told that Sam's mother, Nancy and father were not legally married.
