I am researching the possibility that my g-g-grandmother, Mary Jane Maynard Ware, was a sister of William Maynard.
William and Mary Jane were both born in Pittsford, Vermont. William was born on 31 Dec 1816. He died on 9 July 1897 in Lee, Massachusetts. William’s parents are listed as Mary and John on death records in Massachusetts.
Mary Jane was born 24 Oct 1820. She died on 12 Dec 1896 in Lorain County Ohio. Mary Jane’s mother was Polly (Mary). I haven’t been able to identify Mary Jane’s father’s identity. If Mary Jane was the sister of William, then I have my answer.
