Strikeaxe Twp Pawhuska Oklahoma

Strikeaxe is the name of a Pawhuska, Oklahoma TWP in Osage County. This is in the Osage Nation. Most of the Osage Indians here are well off because of oil found on their land. The name id probably from an Osage Chief.

Strikeaxe (one word) post office is Pawhuska. Some of My people and some of my husband's people have lived in and around Pawhuska since the middle 1800s. I have never heard of sny ghost towns or the like. The area has always been prosperous because of the oil snd because of the lead and zink mines in the joining county.
