I would suppose then that his daughter, Laura Mayhew Filkins husband's name was Cornelius. I hope this is of help to you. I descend from Oliver E. Mayhew b. 1789 Amenia, Dutchess Co., NY who is in Owego, Tioga Co., NY by 1840. I would appreciate any information on his earlier family in Dutchess County.
