Chloe Mayhew/Mahue (and many other spelling possibilities) was born about 1780-1790 in New York state according to a biographical sketch of her son Solomon Cornwell in the 1891 History of Peoria County, IL. It seems many times that the names of the parents' fathers were used for their sons - her sons were Solomon, Smith, Morris and Ethan. Is this a possible clue?
She died in Grand Rapids,MI also from the bio.of her son,
at the home of her daughter Fanny(married name unknown)
