Hello,
I'm looking for information and ancestors of John Hobbs and Malinda Mayhew. John was born in England in 1825 and died in Hinton, WV. Malinda was born Feb. 1823 in Illinois and died in Hinton, WV. John came to America in 1842.
Children:
Step: Nancy Mayhew b. abt 1849 IL
Henry b. 13 Sep 1849 IN d. 24 Sep 1917
Hester b. abt 1851 KY
Henriette b. abt 1853 KY
Harvey b. abt 1858 KY
Harriet b. abt 1863 KY
Evidently they spent time in Indiana where Henry was born. Then at least 20 yrs in the Louisville KY area.
After that they moved with Henry's family to Hinton, WV where they died.
This information was pulled from the 1860, 1870, and 1900 US Censuses.
I'd appreciate any information on this family. I've exhausted all resources.
