Ron, I think I have already told you that the story about REVEREND MEASE is NOT only NOT "almost certain," but that virtually all of the alleged "facts" that you stated about him are wrong. Whether he is even our ancestor is doubtful - at least, NOT adequately proved, even by good circumstantial evidence.
Meanwhile, it's almost as easy as falling off a log to learn that HENRY MEESE was NOT his brother or son - Henry's 1681 will has been abstracted in standard Virginia research for nearly 80 years!
All the claims you repeat are based upon the 1906 manuscript (published ca. 1926) by Edward Mayes of Mississippi. I have found and examined all of his alleged "sources" and all can either be discredited or do not say what he said they say.
Moreover, any person who cannot stand behind these claims about REVEREND MEASE - or anyone else for that matter - should not republish them over and over, AT LEAST with a notation that they are NOT "almost certain" and not proved.
I have DOCUMENTARY PROOF that REVEREND MEASE was in Virginia ca. 1611-1622, after which he returned to London where he died in October 1636. Publication of these and many more DOCUMENTED FACTS are in the works - probably to appear early in 2001 in "Tidewater Virginia Families."
