Hi Thomas,
I do have an "Ollie Mayes" in my tree. Unfortunately, I haven't done alot with this
branch, but this is what I do have.
Father- L.B. Mayes, b 1844 in Tn
Mother- Susan E. Mays(maiden name)b 1849 Tn
children
1.J.A. Mayes( male) b 1868
2. M.E. Mayes (female) b 1866
3. W.H.Mayes (male and called Willie) b 1872
4. L.A.Mayes (female called Avell) b 1874
5. D.J.Mayes ( female) b 1877
6. O.F.Mayes (female called Ollie) b 1879
I have a letter from L.B. Mayes to one of his
nephews, Charlie Hutchings Mayes, sent from Ky to Texas where Charlie had moved. Avell and Ollie were mentioned in the letter and there was talk of the girls fixing to get married. L.B. also talked about his and his son Willie's livestock and crops and the fact that they were running 2 plows that year. The date on the letter was 1896.

I also have L.B.Mayes's siblings and mother and father's names and a good bit more concerning their descendants. I guess I just got on the trail of some of the others and haven't done much with L.B. and his family.

The county in Kentucky was Todd County, and this family is on the county census, 1860 and later ones. As of now, I don't have the name "Green" in this tree.
