This has nothing to do with my family but came across this information on Craiglist. Flossie Mayer M: Herbert Rothermel, Reading PA. The information is as follows:
For sale is an authentic marriage certificate in an old, carved, golden colored, wooden frame. The date of the certificate is Jan 1, 1910. It reads: This certifies that Herbert A. Rothermel and Flossie M. Mayer of Reading, Pennsylvania were by me united in Holy Matrimony according to the ordinance of God and the Laws of Pennsylvania at Reading, PA on the first day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and ten. Beautiful light green colors, pink roses, and white baby's breath surround the certificate. Top and center are three small bells with a ribbon that reads: What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder-Mark 10. Located at the bottom of the marriage certificate is a beautiful print-drawing of Ruth gleaning a field while Boaz looks on. This beautiful marriage certificate is truly a work of art. The frame is 25" high by 21" wide.
