Amacher, Kloh-Ann (Mayer) View/Sign Guest Book
AMACHER Kloh-Ann (nee MAYER) of New Westminster, BC passed away on December 28, 2007. She was predeceased by her parents Julius and Nellie Mayer and two brothers, Robert J. Mayer and Jack C. Mayer. Kloh-Ann will be remembered by her sister-in-law, Thelma E. Mayer, nephew, Ronald Mayer, niece Julie Austin and grand nieces, Katie, Victoria and Shannon. Kloh-Ann was born in Portland, Oregon, USA where she attended elementary school, high school and later attended the University of Oregon to earn her B.A. in Sociology. Kloh-Ann continued her education and earned a Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley. Her career took her coast to coast, from San Francisco to Northampton and finally to Vancouver, British Columbia to take a professorship with the University of British Columbia. Kloh-Ann Amacher had a love for dogs and enjoyed many activities including traveling the world and vacations in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Friendships were very important to her and she greatly appreciated her close friends. She had an independent spirit and strong sense of what she wanted from life and sought it avidly. No service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice appreciated.
