I'm looking in to my past trying to find info about my grandmother. Here is what I know: her name was Dorothy L(lou?) Mayer, she was born in 1934 in South Dokota, she married (not sure of when) Jimmie Ray Windham b. 1935,Oklahoma d. 19??, I know he died young not 100% sure of the reason, they had 3 children Linda, Jimmie, Peggy.
Dorothy was 1/2- 1/4 Native American, this would be nice to know as I am a foster parent and I would be able to foster native american children if I could prove that this was true.
I want to obtain a birth certifact/Marrage Lic. on her so I can keep going back however with the info that I have I don't have enough to get one from SD...
Any help would be great!
