Greetings Dave,

I was doing a quick search to see if any more information is available on my family when I saw your post. The most curious part is the reference to Mossley. We have an excerpt from a speach or presentation, undated and from unknown source, referring to The Mayall's of Mossley", of whom we are supposed to be decended. The extract talks of large cotton interests which, I understand, eventually failed.

My father, Basil Raymond Mayall, was born in Gloucestershire in 1919. Dad's father was Joseph Mayall.

Any further information you have, or speculation is appreciated.

Cheers,

Paul Mayall
