Michelle....This was the only census I could find that came close to the names you are looking for. Think this could be them in 1900? No child John with the family though, but with a daughter Emma instead. Do you know "if" Louise died early? This census record is from HeritageQuest.
1900 Olmsted Township, Cuyahoga County, Ohio Census - ED 228, Page 166A - 6 June:
Theodore J. May, head, born : Oct 1861, 38, widower, b. Ohio, parents b. Germany, farmer
All the children were born in Ohio....
George A. May, son, born: June 1887, 13, at school
Emma L. May, daughter, born: April 1889, 11
Julius T. May, son, born: can't make out month/1891, 8
Arthur W. May, son, born: can't make out month/1894, 6

Here is a Louise R. May's burial place. The 1865 date of birth would fit the Louise with the father Christian on the 1st 1880 census.
