Am seeking information on William L. May b. 1845 in TN. He was married to Francis "Fanny" Tucker b. 1847 in TN. William L. May fought for the Union during the Civil War and appears to have died before 1880 according to census records. On the 1870 Anderson Co., TN census, William May his wife Francis and their daughter Mary J. May b. 1869 are listed. But by 1880, on the Hamilton Co., TN census, his wife Francis is listed living with a William Brown along with the May children: Mary J. May b. 1869,Emeline May b. 1870,William B. May b. 1872, Florence T. May b. 1875 along with another child, Rufus Brown b. 1879. From William L. May's Civil War record, he left his pension to his daughter Delilah Emeline May b. 1870. William May was my Great, Great grandfather and his daughter Emiline May was my Great Grandmother.
