I am looking for the family of Captain John May who lived in the Johnson County Kentucky in an around Paintsville. He traveled a lot in eastern KY I think as a land speculator , surveyou or a mineral buyer, as he lived in homes of various people while working.as this was in the late 1700 or 1800's.
I don't knoe if his name was Captian or if it was rank he might have held in Revoulation or Cival war.
