Joseph Galloway of Philadelphia Gentleman and Elizabeth Johns of Kent County, Widow ( children and heirs of Peter Galloway late of Kent County, esquire deceased) for 152 pounds 15 Shillings sold to Charles Tool of Kent County, yeoman and Hannah his wife, late the wife of James Maxwell, late of Kent County, yeoman deceased and James Maxwell and Robert Maxwell, children and devisees of the said James Maxwell, deceased 1/2 of a tract of land called the Manor of Frieth, whereas John Penn, Thomas Penn, and Richard Penn, esquires true and absolute proprietaries of Pennsylvania by their patent did grant and confirm unto the said Peter Galloway and Samuel Chew esquires deceased a tract of land called the Manor of Frieth in Duck Creek Hundred and whereas by virture of a write bearing the date 28 May...the high sheriff did make partition of the said manor between Peter Galloway and the legal representative of Samuel Chew adjacent Daniel Nock's Land 152 1/2 acres...Joseph Galloway and Elizabeth Johns appoint John Clayton of Kent County their attorney to acknowledge this deed in open court.
