Wilmer,
The place Perry Co., PA in combination with Alexander MAXWELL caught my eye.
I'm doing research on sibling lines of my husband's ancestors Joseph KELLEY (m. Margaret KENNEDY), son of John KELLEY and Margaret Van SEYOC (Van SCYOC, SKYHAWK, etc.).He had a sister Hannah KELLEY "born on 18 Nov 1814 in Horse Valley, Toboyne Twp., Cumberland Co., PA".This is in Perry Co., PA today. She married Alexander Maxwell probably about 1834.I have not as yet located this family and would dearly like to get information on Alexander's descendants and ancestors.
The KELLEYs were Scotch Irish Presbyterians and members of the Upper Tuscarora Presbyterian Church in Waterloo, Juniata Co., PA (I think its in Lack Twp.).Other names associated with KELLEYs and KENNEDYs are: McMATH, McGEE / MAGEE, McMULLIN, STUMP, MUMPER, BEERS, WOODBURY, LINN, CAMPBELL, etc.Other places are: Lack Twp., Fannett Twp., Lurgan Twp. + Huntingdon Co., Franklin Co., Perry Co., Juniata Co., and Cumberland Co.
It sounds like a lot of places, but most of the townships all join together or are very close to one another on a modern map.
Do you know anything more about Alexander MAXWELL and Hannah KELLY / KELLEY?
