I read your message with interest.
I also have links with Kingskettle [ often shortened to 'Kettle']. I was born close by and my birth registered there.
My father's family go back a number of generations in Kettle and in Fifeshire, especially on his father's side.
These include:

William Maxwell born 1850,Kettle.
George Maxwell christened 16 Dec 1821 , Cupar
" " " 14 July 1787 ,St.Andrews
Unsure before this time,

Possibly :
James Maxwell christened 6 Sept 1764, Auchermuchty
James's father possibly John.

I would be most interested in receiving any information you might have on the Maxwells.
