The Nathan Maxson who married Elizabeth Brown (Son of Joseph and Bethia) in NJ was my ancestor. He died in NJ and I descend from his son George (b 1765/1766). I have copies of court documents showing where Elizabeth asked the court to make their son George the administrator of Nathan's estate when he died in 1786. My line from Nathan is as follows and all lived in what was once considered Shrewsbury NJ. George is the only sibling I was able to determine with certainty.

Nathan and Elizabeth Brown
George and Abigail Knott
Britton and Sarah Brower
George and Jemima Fisher
John and Mary Catherine Vannote (My Great Grandparents)

Hope this helps
