Jacob Mayer/Moyer/Meyer New Hanover Pa. 1734
Searching for any information on Jacob Meyer/Moyer/Mayer that lived in New Hanover Pa. in 1734.(now Montgomery Co. then Philadelphia Co.) He died in 1749 leaving his wife Anna Elisabeth (Kepler) and seven children. She remarried Christopher Bittenbender the same year. They were all members of the New Hanover Lutheran Church. A son of Jacob Mayer/Meyer/Meyer also named Jacob appears to have kept the family farm of about 100-125 acres which he sold to George Nyce in 1794. A younger son John was confirmed at 15 years of age on April 20 1755 at New Hanover Lutheran Church. He with his mother and some portion of what then became Christopher Bittenbender's family moved to Williams Township in 1757 and then to Easton Pa. (Northampton Co.) in 1765. I am looking for "any" information on Jacob or his children. Also looking for information on his son John who moved to Easton Pa. I have good reason to believe that they are connected to the Mawyer family of Albermarle/Nelson Co. Va. I am more than willing to share information that I have with any who can provide me with information on this Pa. Mayer/Moyer/Meyer family.
