My Grandfather - Alfred Mawby - moved from Hinckley Leicestershire to Llanrwst in North Wales in approximately 1905-10.. he had two children from his first marriage - Edgar and Eugene - and seven from his second marriage - those I can remember are Beatrice, Freda, Grace, Will, Nada and Alfred (my father born in 1918). Only Freda now still alive in Llanrwst. My mother still lives in llanrwst and I live in Conwy. Afraid I do not know any history prior to the move to Wales, however I still have some relatives living in Hinckley.

regards

Dave Mawby
