Robert Maw and Mary Gelder were my 3rd Great Grandparents which I believe makes me the 2nd Great Grandnephew of Johnson Maw. I understand there is a possibility that one of my Great Grandfathers - Robert John Francis Maw was born on the Iowa Farmstead whilst his parents were on a visit to Davenport in Iowa in the 1850s. I have researched the Maw family from the Isle of Axholme in the UK back to the 1600s and would be pleased to hear from other descendants in New York, Iowa, Oregon elsewhere in the USA or the UK.
