Yes, I've known for years about the connection.I first learned of it in "Ancestral Roots of Sixty Colonists Who Came to New England between 1623 and 1650" by Frederick Lewis Weis.Several editions have been published, at least one after Mr. Weis' death by Walter Lee Shepard, Jr.Mr. Shepard published it under the title "Ancestral Roots of Certain American Colonists Who Came to America before 1700" but still listed Mr. Weis as the primary author.
