Robert, I think you and I spoke a few years ago about the Maurer, Brill (Briehl) Rothermel families.

Here is something I found, I am not sure if it is anything that pertaines to you or not but I thought I might pass it on to you.

Here is another Maurer who married into the Briehl family.
Anna Maria Maurer born 1720 Germany
Her parents were Micheal Maurer born 1650 Hornbach Pfalz Germany and Mrs. Anna Elizabetha Maurer born 1680 Hornbach Pfalz Germany
On March 1, 1768 at St. Lukes Luthern Church Nockaminon, Bucks Co., PA she
Married Martin Brill born 1710 Bockweiler Germany died 1791 Lovettsville, Loudoun, VA

Martin Brillís father was Christopher Briehl born 1748/49 in Bockweila Pfalz Germany. Died April 26, 1814 Oxford Guernsey, Ohio buried April 1814

Children of Martin Brill and Anna Margaret Maurer are:
(1)       Johann Herman Brill born 1734 Wuerttenaberg, Germans Married Katerina Barbara born 1738 Bucks Co., PA
(1a) Maria Magdalena Brill born 1754 Germany or USA, daughter of Johann Herman and grand daughter or Martin and Anna
(2) Christopher Briehl born 1748
(3) Anna Maria Brill born 1750 Germany
(4) John Brill born 1752/53 Germany

I am still looking for Peter and Elizabeth Briehl (Brill?) parents of Hannah Briehl who married Johannes Paulus Zimmerman Rothermel II in 1798. And my Maurer's Jacob Maurer who died before June 1767 and his wife was Sophia Elizabeth and I did find them at the New Goshenhoppen Reformed Church in Upper Hanover Twp. Montogomery Co., PA as I think you suggested to me at one time. But I can't get any further back than that.

I hope this information about a Michael Maurer will be of use to you.

Best wishes, Dr. Linda Davis
