I am part of the Mauney family you are inquiring about. My father's name was Otha Bailey Mauney and he had brothers named: Ralph Theodore Mauney that was married to Lela Mae Summerlin, John R. Mauney that was married to Sudie Putnam, Herman Mauney that was married to Talula Hall, and Carl Mauney this is married to Rachel Parks. Herman was a Baptist minister as was Carl (now retired and living in Statesville, NC)
Ralph T. Mauney also had 2 sisters: Cleo married Samuel B.Wilson and Elle Mae married Laudys Herndon.
All the Mauneys listed above were the children of Rodney Theodore Mauney and Georgianna Roberts Mauney. Rodney Theodore Mauney was the son of Aaron and Mary Jane Mauney.
All originally lived in the Elizabeth Baptist Church community, Cleveland County, Shelby, NC
