I am looking for any information concerning Daniel T. Mauller and Luone Von Rothberg who married December 19, 1917 in Pemiscot Co., Missouri. The marriage book transcription on Rootsweb indicates Douglass Co., Nebraska for both of them, which makes me wonder if they were from Douglass Co., Nebraska. Luone Von Rothberg was the daughter of Albert Von Rothberg and Emma Temperance Coles of Warren Co. Iowa.
Luone had a daughter named Irma, and I do not know for certain whether her maiden name was Irma Huffman, Irma Huffmann, Irma Mauller, or Irma Thompson. In the 1920 census she is listed as 3 years 8 months old, which would make her born 1916-1917, well before December 19, 1917 when her mother married Daniel T. Mauller. However, in the census she is listed as Irma Mauller, and the family is living in Minneapolis. I have a death date for Luone of 1977, and she was my grandmother's half-sister. Luone was born in 1892.
Daniel T. Mauller's age is difficult to read in the 1920 census, however he appears much older, perhaps 52 or 62, so possibly born 1867-1868 or 1857-1858. He was a real estate agent in Minneapolis in 1920. There are only 2 Daniel T. Mauller results on the census index. I also find a Daniel T. Mauller in Polk Co., Iowa in 1930 who is age 71 and listed as "widowed." However, he could not have been widowed from Luone, but there is always a possibility that he was divorced. Luone was a very fashionable well-dressed woman, who kept uptodate with the latest styles in the 1920s and 1930s and appears in many family photographs that I have. She devoted a great deal of attention to her younger half-siblings and appears in many stylish photographs with them. She enjoyed being photographed and mailing photo postcards. Luone was also married to a Mr. Huffman and a Mr. Thompson, not known in what order.
