Larry, I am new to this site and am looking for info. on my family. I came across a book you might be interested in. "Cox and Kin of Southwestern Virgina and Eastern kentucky" written by Bruce K. Cox in 1986. Not only does it mention the Cox family, but Mauk and Dickerson. My grandfather was Claud Mauk who married Nezzie Dickerson in Americus, Georgia. His father was Claud Mauk who married Charlotte (Lee) Bosworth in1907 in Americus. My maternal grandfather was Lester Dickerson and his brother was Claud Dickerson both from Americus, Georgia. My mother's maiden name is Claudia Inez Mauk and her brothers are Elam Lee Mauk and Charles Lester Mauk. I would be interested if you find any connection. Mauk, Georgia is named after my family connected to Claud Mauk and there is a connection to the Lee's of Virgina also.
