Ida Mauk married a J. A. Britt(e) on Nov. 3, 1898, Wa Co. TN. On the 1900 census list Jerry A Britt, wife (can not read and too many letters to be Ida),male child Grinston and female child Vistula who later in life goes by the name Ruby V. They lived in Sullivan Co. TN, Washington Co TN and Unicoi Co. TN. Farmers and miners. They moved to AL to work in Bidd Co. in the mines and died. 3 children were put out to be adopted. Grinston was taken by a Wood(s) family, Vestula was taken by "family" to raise, and Roscoe born after the 1900 census was adopted by a Wells in AL. Is this by chance a "family" storie with in your Mauk family? Thank you Wayne
