MAWDSLEY - Lancs, Eng. Early 20th cent
Great to see a MAUDSLEY/MAWDSLEY/MAWDESLEY forum at last.
My paternal grandmother was Caroline MAWDSLEY b. abt. 1885 in Lancashire, possibly Liverpool. Married abt. 1906 to James WILLIAMS, a French polisher by trade. Caroline's family apparently originated from the village of the same name (Mawdesley), near Ormskirk, Lancs.
If any of this rings a bell with anyone, I'd love to hear from you.
