Bill,
I have a little bit of info on the Mauck/Malone line :
Rhoda L. E. MALONE (1835-1892) who married (first) William J. MAUCK, was my gr-gr-grandmother.On 21 November 1866 as "Rhoda Mauck", she married John Marvel SMITH, so William presumably died prior to that date. Rhoda is buried in the "Bethel" or Andrew Smith cemetery in Gibson Co. Her marriage and death certificates are available from the Gibson County Clerk and GC Health Department respectively. I'm afraid I have no other info on the parents of William.William and Rhoda had at least two children, James Harvey MAUCK, b. 16 December 1861, d. 05 September 1870, and William A. MAUCK, b. Abt. 1863, (source 1880 Federal Census) d. 17 July 1949, Evansville, Vanderburgh Co., IN.William A. married Della MASSY on 24 October 1897 (source Newspaper Abstracts of Owensville and Gibson County, IN 1872-1915 by Cook.)All of my other info on the Mauck line comes from correspondence with another researcher in Illinois.I'll give you her name and address privately if you want (no e-mail available).
Rhoda's father was Thomas Jefferson Malone (1809-1894) and her mother was Rhoda BALDWIN, married 1834 (Gibson County Record of Marriages, Gibson Co., IN, microfilm reel 444, line 958).Thomas married second to Maria KENNETTE (1822-1911) in 1846 (Gibson Co. Record of Marriages, microfilm reel 444, line 1974).They had, among others, Sarah E. Malone, b. abt. 1849 (1850 Federal Census, Montgomery Twp., Gibson Co., IN, sh. 109/113, ln. 13).I don't have her marriage to James.
Also interesting is Rhoda Malone's grandfather, John Malone married a Sarah Hunter.Any relation?
