Ind. by Linda Hayton of 308 Catherine Mauck: her father is Jacob Mauck, born in Shenandoah Co, VA, 1791; married Margaret Hemp in Washington Co, TN, Aug. 9, 1811. They moved to Harrison Co, IN about 1820, near his grandfather John Mauck Sr. Jacob died in fall from horse late 1920s in Mauckport, after which his wife and children were taken to Gibson Co, IN by his brother Joseph. Melissa Mauck: daughter of Catherine's brother John Mauck, born 1818 (presumably in TN) and his wife Lydia A. Lucas, born 1820. Melissa married John McGinnis and they had 3 children (dates unknown): Mary McGinnis (married John Gorman), John McGinnis and Nora McGinnis (married Harvey Harmon).
